We keep old service records around longer than we probably need to. Every so often somebody on our team pulls one up and realizes the account goes all the way back to the 1990s — same business, sometimes even the same owner, still calling us for the same reason they always have.
Relationships, Not Contracts
A service agreement is just paperwork. What actually keeps a customer around for thirty years is everything that happens outside of it — showing up on time, being straight about what something costs, not treating a small office any differently than a big one. We have never had a fancy retention strategy. We just try to be worth calling back.
Watching Businesses Grow Up Alongside Us
Some of the offices we started servicing in one small room have moved twice, tripled in size, or changed hands to the next generation. We have moved right along with them, machine after machine. There is something satisfying about that kind of continuity — knowing a business well enough to remember what they had before what they have now.
